Hi Paul, I like your ideas on base building and lower intensities, I think it sounds a great way to train and obviously works long term. What are your views on the bulgarian method, Bob peoples training, training methods of the old time strongmen etc? Basically high frequency, singles and specificity . Sorry if you have answered this question before.
The Bulgarians were weight lifting. Comparing apples to oranges. Peoples was a deadlift specialist. Lots of the old time strongmen did reps, not just singles.
I think that training singles has its place, however eventually you will tap it out. And you will need to do something different.
