Notes - I couldn't remember if I was supposed to go lighter tonight and do the 350 method or do my heavy stuff and I didn't want to go look so I just did both.  It was supposed to be light.  So next week I'll punch out some 8's with 225.

    How do you feel about standing PBNs? I mean with a standard grip, not the Klokov version.

    1. They are good.

      Unlike Jamie, I don't feel like there is anything special about doing presses standing over seated. You're just working your shoulders.

      I do think that a standing press is harder and doesn't allow for as much weight, however that can be a drawback and not a benefit if you're just after shoulder development and not strength demonstrations.

    2. That's interesting. Could you elaborate more on why you choose "harder" variations in some instances (pause squats, below the knee pulls), and not in others?

    3. Pause squats build strength out of the hole.

      Mid shin pulls actually put you in a poorer leverage position than regular pulls and probably build the low back a little better.

  3. Paul I hate you, I tried those PJR Pullovers about 4 days ago and my triceps are still brutally sore. Will definitely be using these in future workouts.
