Notes - REALLY surprised to hit the 140x14 tonight. Been wanting 15 for a while and 20 as my goal. All of this while dieting pretty strict for 2 days now.

ReplyDeleteI find that starting a diet actually kinda motivates you and increases your focus and drive for the first week or so. You still have ample calories/carbs/glycogen/etc left over from your regular eating so there really isn't any reason for your food intake to cause a big hit to your numbers until a week or so in. You get a little bit of a "I'm dieting, so I have to life EXTRA hard to keep all my muscle" mentality I've found.
ReplyDeleteYeah I'd agree with Lonnie. I tend to find that I can hit PRs for maybe two or three sessions after starting a diet.
