So for those of you that ordered a PAPERBACK of Strength Life Legacy, THE PAPERBACK (not the PDF) you will be getting a shirt designed on the book cover, on my dime. Yes, that means FOR FREE. See I been waiting to spring this on you bitches.
That's nice isn't it?
This is the design done by Mike D'Antonio of Killswitch Engage, and well, it's fucking awesome. Otherwise it wouldn't be my book cover. I will be shipping out large ONLY, because that is the most popular size and makes it easy on me (and it's free, don't be that greedy). So let me just repeat this one more time, it's ONLY in large. It's free. Don't complain. I am only making an order for enough to match the book sales.
Pre-orders stop Monday night.
Everyone should be able to wear a large, unless you're some 3XL fatty, and in that case, use it as incentive to get into shape. Either way, the shirt is awesome. Look at the fucking shirt pic. Look.
Look....... |
Just ordered the book you can thank your Friend Jim Wendler for mentioning your Blog on his website I also have the training Philosophies so he got you two sales, depending on how Large Fits I might have to do a few more months until it fits I am still on the lighter side.
ReplyDeleteWhen do you think the books will ship?
Close out pre-orders Monday night -
DeleteLet my guy know how many -
He starts printing -
Soon as they are done I will ship -
I have no idea how long it will take him to print but I will keep everyone updated.
This is awesome! Should we send you our shipping info? Shirts look sick!
ReplyDeleteIf you bought the book I already have it.
DeleteI did buy the book buy I have a new address. Should I just reply to the email I got after buying it with my new address?
DeleteYes reply to that e-mail and let me know. I wanna make sure everyone gets their books and shirts.
DeleteSo we get the shirt if we order by Monday?
ReplyDeleteCorrect.
DeleteAre you gonna autograph my shirt, bro? Ha Ha. Honestly though, thank you, and I mean that most sincerely. Free shit is always appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThis was very unexpected, and very generous of you. I just wanted to chime in and say how much I appreciate this, so... thank you, sir!
ReplyDeleteMan, I just put in my order this morning. I was on the fence about whether to get it or not because I really didn't want to spend the money right now but I wanted to support you so I got it. And now you go and spring this on me. I can't tell you how grateful I am for everything you do for free man. I'll be sure to hit some PRs in it at the end of the one year challenge for you
ReplyDeleteHey Paul!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if somebody already asked it but do you ship to europe as well?
best wishes
Not sure whether this is the appropriate place to post it, but I bought your book about an hour or two back, and it's absolutely awesome. Like many, I was interested in the training aspect of it but I ended up hooked to all your philosophical shit. Amazing book, and I'll be utilizing a ton of your ideas in the future.
ReplyDeleteReally a must read book for any serious lifter
Thanks Carl, I appreciate that!
DeleteDamn!! I wanted the paperback version, but didn't realize that the first button was for the e-book. Then after getting it decided "fuck it"! Haha. Guess I should've complained so I could have a shirt.
ReplyDeleteIn any case thanks for the book. Just the first few pages in made me want to go lift weights. Solid work!
I bought the e-book, so not getting a shirt, but ... at 6' 1" 255 with a 350 bench, 500 squat, and 550 deadlift (not a 3XL fatty - maybe a 2XL) a large shirt on me makes me look like I shop at Baby Gap. I'm just saying ...
ReplyDeleteI can wear a large. Just sayin.
DeleteMaybe I've tried the wrong larges! Either way, absolutely love your blog and the book. Another thing, as a father of two little ones (a daughter and a son), I'm determined they'll both lift and know how to handle themselves. So glad to see that sentiment in your writing. Also, the line about only spending time with people who'll cry at your funeral is so simple and true - I love it.
DeleteThat one is particular seems to really resonate with people. I know it did with me at the time it was spoken to me.
DeleteJust placed my order, looking forward to the book and the shirt is a great bonus! Now to absorb as much info as possible and grow into that large...
ReplyDeleteAlso, just a quick thanks for the elbow positioning video. It was an instant relief on my elbows, and I know it has helped out a lot of people in the forum I post in. Keep up being awesome!
Awesome! I wish someone would have shown me that a long time ago and it didn't end up being one of those things I had to figure out on my own.
DeleteIt's like fuckin' Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a few months, now - found you through CnP and Wendler - and I'm looking forward to reading the book. I'm 30 and I've only been training for 4 months, but I've never felt better and want to make the long-run commitment to this thing. My younger brother has seen what it's done for me, both physically and mentally, and he wants to get involved now, too.
I feel like, judging from what I've read about your work, that your book is going to be a lot more accessible for someone that's trying to break into strength training. I read Starting Strength front-to-back before I started, but I realize that not everyone has the kind of stamina or willpower to reading page after page of an anatomical reference book. I've heard SLL is a lot more accessible; I think its going to be a great resource for me and for people that I know that want to be better men.
Looking forward to reading this, and thanks for the shirt - it'll be my first official "gym shirt".
Awesome. I'd been thinking about ordering but the free t-shirt pushed me over edge.
ReplyDeleteChrist, it's like I've turned into my grandpa. Off to Mcdonalds now for the free ketchup.
Matt
go to chic-fil-a. bigger ketchups.....
DeletePaul,
ReplyDeleteOff topic question here that I wanted your input on...maybe even Jamie too, so if you want to discuss this on your next podcast please do because I think it would be interesting to hear a discussion on. Anyway...
As usual, there's discussions on the boards going on about what is possible to attain naturally for the average guy that trains seriously. Some say you can get pretty big at a decent bodyfat and look solid in a t-shirt, whereas others say that looking like anything more than a swimmer at a lean bodyfat level is a pipe dream , and that you'll pretty much hit your genetic limit after 4-5 years and won't make any noticeable improvements from there on.
What do you think is a realistic size/bf for say a guy at 5'10 after 10-15 years of hard, consistent training and eating? And what do you think about the comment that it doesn't matter if you've been training 5 years or 15 naturally, you're going to hit a certain point around that 5 year mark and look the same from there on?
There's a lot of guy youngs on various BB boards that are getting discouraged and darksiding it up because of the general "you won't do shit naturally" discussion that goes around influencing the noobs.
I've been meaning to cover this. This one will be great for the podcast.
DeleteHey Paul
ReplyDeleteIs there a way that I could order the paperback book and a death is winning tshirt and have them combined in the same order for shipping??
Thanks!
No because I'm going to stick the 1 shirt in with the book to save you guys shipping costs. Two shirts won't fit.
