So I want to say thanks to all you guys that bought shirts. But I'm still getting asked about the shirt in my pic above, with the fist and my motto.
Would you guys prefer a shirt with that logo over the current one? I did get my printing company to invert the colors on the current design and I think that's what was missing. Check it out now.......
Anyway, if you guys like both designs I will get my designer to make a new "get fisted" shirt like the one above as well, but at a more affordable cost.
You fellas give me some input.
Weird, I was just looking at the spreadshirt website at the shirt in the picture at top of the blog. I want it but it's a bit expensive (especially with shipping to UK) and not sure if that material would last long in the gym? If you did one in the same material as the latest one that'd be awesome; would buy.
ReplyDeleteok good to know. so the 100% cotton......I prefer poly cotton because I look sexy in it, but the 100% cotton ones are nice too.
DeleteJust understood the inverted colours bit (bit slow today) and that looks good too. I spent a while trying to tell the difference between the one in this post and the one you're currently selling. Dumbass...
ReplyDeletePaul, quick book question:
ReplyDeleteAre you going to have spreadsheets for the various cycles in the book? (New Strong/Big 15, Strongman Deadlift Cycle, etc.?)
Thanks
Matt
Not sure, but probably not this time. I laid all of the percentages out in the book in a nice clean, format.
DeleteI like the above fist shirt. I would like to buy that one.
ReplyDeleteThe skull shirt is too confusing to me. I just now realized that the part of arm under the skull is not the lower jaw and the lower jaw is not part of a spine (just now saw the teeth on it).
Again, I think that's because the colors were inverted.
DeleteSkull shirt all the way. Totally bad-ass.
ReplyDeletePaul, I think the new shirt design is proably better. When looking at the old one, it sometimes looked at first glance like the forearm was actually the jaw of the skull. Like open and screaming. It took me a couple times looking at it when you first debuted them to realize what I was seeing. Seems clearer in the new version.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I actually prefer the old shirt with that Mignola-style bloody fist. However, and I'm loathe to admit this here, I'm not a big fan of all-things-metal, so my aesthetic may be suspect in this regard.
I like the shirt with just the fist much more. But, it was just too expensive before.
ReplyDeletePaul, I like the inverted colors better. I do really like the skull design though.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of selling mediums? I've got a ways to go to adequately fill out a large. If not I'll buy one anyways and just save it for later on.
Ryan if I make a new order with these I will get some mediums dawg.
DeleteIn the current design, I think the skull to fist ratio is all messed up. The skull should be smaller while the fist should be larger. Maybe the forearm should be colored red too, to increase the congruence between the fist and forearm, otherwise there's a bit of discontinuity which can cause confusion. Just my 2 cents.
ReplyDeleteAlso, love poly cotton blend. 100% cotton almost never look good.
I think the best thing would be the new skull design but the text in the simple print from the original arranged in a straight line: not the arch in the new one. It's a simple statement, looks better presented plainly.
ReplyDeleteThe new skull logo is great, you should work to keep it in
I like the shirt you are wearing at the top of the blog. I actually have the fist & slogan blown up to poster size and duct-taped to the basement wall
ReplyDeleteWow, that's fucking awesome.
DeleteThe Fist shirt with the motto is badass. Would like one if it's even somewhat affordable.
ReplyDeleteYa i would get one of the fist shirts if you put those out
ReplyDeleteThe fist shirt on top of the page is great, would have bought it already if the shipping charges to Europe would be more reasonable.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I prefer more the simple "Lift-Run-Bang" vs the "Lift-Run-Bang.Com".
Bought the current one, will buy another one with new design on a poly blend. Design is badass and want to help support you for putting all this great stuff out there for free.
ReplyDeleteI'll happily buy poly if it can cope with having a disgustingly abrasive barbell resting on it on a regular basis. They do actually "fit" better but the 100% cotton t-shirts just feel like they'll last longer.
ReplyDeleteI love the poly cotton too. That's all I wear to lift in usually. They hold up just fine for me.
DeleteSold
DeleteThe poly cotton is awesome. It's the only reson I haven't bought the new shirt yet, actually. I love my original one. I think the new design is gret, but I agree with the suggestions about making the whole forearm the same color, and simplifying the text. I actually like lift run bang.com better though--it gives people a visual aid on where to go if they ask about the shirt.
