hey paul got a question for you....is it possible to gain strength without gaining body weight? i see a lot of guys in the lighter weight class's and they are strong as hell and not very big. and everywhere you look you see articles that stress if you want to get stronger you have to get bigger?
There are a lot of things that go into account when it comes to guys being strong. How your fibers fire, leverages, and a whole shitload of other things (drugs, technique, etc).
In layman terms, you have a strength ceiling for how big you are right now. So if you changed nothing and worked on strength only, you would hit certain numbers and that would be all you would be good for. If you want to hit bigger numbers, it would require you to get larger in order for that to happen. More mass, better leverages, more calories.
